With a collection where the star plays a stronger role, the Storytailors suggest flowy dresses, patchwork and spray paints, in an anarchic vision for spring-summer 2013.

For the warm season of next year, the Storytailors reveal the new chapter in the history of the Gold Star girl. «In this collection the character grows, rebels against a system that she does not understand and adopts anarchic behaviours», explains Luis Sanchez, designer at Storytailors along with João Branco.

This collection is already a measure or a reaction – trying to bring together the casual and the sophisticated – and people realize that it’s not simply ‘all or nothing’

“AnarChic” is, therefore, the name given to the set of proposals for next spring-summer by this duo, where the graphic element of the star – «which is a symbol of the anarchic movement» – is highlighted, in dotted lines, patchwork and spray paints. «In this collection we got the shapes that were used in the previous collection and it becomes a deconstruction, a journey towards the shape of the star, which did not exist in the other one and is very much present in this collection», he adds.

Fabrics and Vichy patterns, tulle and lace mix with flowy dresses, on the one hand, but which also more structured, designed by the duo for the spring-summer 2013, while the colours are white, red, grey and black. «We wanted to mix casual with the sophisticated», says Luis Sanchez.

«We are going through a period that is complicated, in socio-economic terms; I think there’s too much alarmism, few or bad solutions, and, in a way, this is reflected in the collection. We are not oblivious to what happens around us, nor do people stop dreaming», believes the designer. However, despite the pullback that is felt in the country, «we try to continue to do our job in the best way possible», he guarantees.

«This collection is already a measure or a reaction – trying to bring together the casual and the sophisticated – and people realize that it’s not simply ‘all or nothing’», he assumes.

The creative duo is yet to develop partnerships with the industry, with commercial export companies, and is trying to create new products, be more affordable and complement the offer», therefore the next few seasons will bring novelties.
