Created by Teresa Martins, TM Collection fall-winter’s collection returns to origins and to brand’s DNA.
“Origins” brings together a set of proposals that, according to the designer, «much reflect and contain TM Collection roots». Since ever, textiles have the main role in the creative universe of Teresa Martins, with handmade natural fibers fabrics – cotton, silk, wool and linen – often using small communities in India to get unique articles that she transforms into exclusive clothing pieces.
A feature very present in this new collection, now arriving at stores that, with colder temperatures in thought, suggests «quite elaborate pieces at a fabrics, embroidery and printing level», she says.
Overlays are also part of next season’s proposals, in combination with «simple and loose forms» items, always with a distinctive colourful, dominated by coal, ochre, blue, black, nude and denim, which creates a «versatile and timeless collection».
Basically, summarizes Teresa Martins, «it is a hybrid collection, where elements of simple and graphical construction are articulated with more complex ones, reminding TM Collection origins, where each piece was a singular element of a universe rich in colours, textures and patterns».
The designer also highlights «a great job also in terms of accessories», with hats and hair accessories with a lot of craft work, both in terms of prints and patterns, backpacks, handbags and bags filled with textile elements that combine perfectly with each look.
