With a single exhibition, the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FAUL) in partnership with Mude, celebrates 22 years of Design higher education as a public institution.
“22 years of Design at FAUL” will be open to the public from January 23 to February 23 and gives na insight into the work developed by graduated, masters and PhD FAUL former students in different fields of Design.
Apart from fashion design – with former students like Storytailors or Os Burgueses – the exhibition, with Mário Matos Ribeiro as a curator, also includes design projects of products and services and communication design, among others.
On display are hundreds of drawings, illustrations, photographs, prototypes of objects of everyday use, urban furniture, jewellery, graphic design, multimedia and research projects.
The content organization follows a transversal path to all courses supported by different conceptual frameworks, including: colouring; (re)count, care, draw, experience, edit, research, modular, move, simplify and oppose.
The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon highlights the importance of collaboration with Mude, that “allowed FAUL to be the first educational institution to exhibit their work at this prestigious museum situated in the iconic centre of Lisbon and one of the three most visited museums institutions in the country (1,000,000 visitors), standing as national and international reference”
